2018
The 2018 event took place on Sunday, 29th April. Start 08:00am, Bishopton Community Centre, PA7 5AU.
A feature of this year’s promotion was the inauguration of the Isobel Campbell Trophy which will be awarded to the fastest female rider. The trophy has been presented to the Club by Isobel’s daughter, Sharon, for annual competition in this event. The 2018 winner is Lynsey Curran, Dooleys RT.

2017
In 2017, in addition to the Club’s long-standing promotions, The Sam Robinson Memorial Road Race and the Lake of Menteith Australian Pursuit Race, the Club has returned to organising a third event for open competition, a 10 Mile Time Trial, run under the auspices of Cycling Time Trials (CTT), the national governing body for time trials.
Organised by Graeme Cockburn, the event was run on the Westferry course and headquartered at the Bishopton Community Centre. A welcome innovation was the transmission of the finishing times to the Community Centre, some miles away, using the ‘Cloud’ to provide real-time updates of individual times and their finishing positions within the various categories. Club members, Martin Knox and Dougie Pender at either end of the link, provided an communications application which worked brilliantly.
